1000 Stars

Thursday was a big day for us. Scott worked his last day ever at Little Caesar's (and I guess I should say his last day at a lame job EVER- he's quite excited about that) and we saw The Dark Knight at 12:01.

Court and I decided that we should be festive and buy Batman shirts. We were pleasantly surprised when we weren't the only people over 10 purchasing Batman shirts from Wal-mart.

Our Sweet Shirts

We headed to the theater around 10 and were excited when we had good seats (we didn't do reserved seating). Keaton and Court watched movies on their ipods, Scott read a book, and Amanda and I chatted and made Scott take pictures of us. We love going to Century 16 at Fort Union because they have Cherry Coke. We love Cherry Coke.

Our theater was quite fun. It was somebody's birthday so his friends sang to him and then a manager gave the guy a Batman poster for his birthday. Amanda and I were so excited when the new Twilight trailer started playing (I think Scott wanted to vomit). All of the girls in the audience were cheering and clapping- it was great.

And then there was the movie. It was awesome! The effects and stunts were so cool. Our theater would break into claps and cheers whenever we enjoyed something. I'm glad they weren't a bunch of squares (Squares. Who says that anymore?). All of the characters are great! I really liked Maggie Gyllenhaal playing Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes character in Batman Begins). Of course, Heath Ledger did a great job as the Joker. Just a warning- the Joker is totally disturbing. He makes up a few stories about how he got the smile scars and goes into detail. Some of the violence is a little disturbing too. I definitely wouldn't bring anyone under 13 to it (Kade, my brother who's 10, was quite upset when my parents told him they weren't going to let him go). I hope they make another Batman movie soon and I think all of us that have seen it would recommend it.

  5. I'm finally going to see it tomorrow and I'm so glad to hear that you liked Maggie. I've heard from a few people that they couldn't stand her so I was worried. Now I'll be able to sleep tonight.
