The Sweetest Place on Earth

After so many days of driving, unloading, and unpacking we were finally able to do some fun things. My dad's flight left out of JFK on Thursday so Amanda and I woke up early that morning and drove him to NYC. It was really pretty to see the sun rising with all of the skyscrapers in the foreground. We were planning on taking the Subway to Canal Street and doing some shopping but traffic was so bad at 6:30 in the morning we decided we better just drop my dad off and go.

If you have never driven yourself through Manhattan, I wouldn't recommend that you ever do. It took us an hour and a half to go 15 miles from JFK to New Jersey and we had near death experiences approximately every 10 seconds. There isn't an easy route off the island and the GPS doesn't usually work in between the skyscrapers. It was an adventure to say the least.

Once we were in New Jersey it was a very nice drive home. That afternoon we went to Hershey's Chocolate World, picked up Scott's parents from the airport, and went to Hershey Park.

The fabulous creation at the bottom of the picture is the Reese's Sundae. It is TO DIE FOR! It is vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, peanut butter sauce, and reese's. MMM!!!

We couldn't resist getting a picture with a Hershey Bar.

The roller coasters are AWESOME!!!

This one is fahrenheit. It is like wicked but better- it's higher and has way better turns.
