After work I left to meet up with everyone and learned that I never want to go somewhere I haven't driven to without a gps. I didn't have mine with me and I realized once I saw "Last exit before New Jersey" that I had missed my exit and Scott had to guide me to the hotel (he did give excellent directions considering he only had a little tourist map).
We had some cheeseteaks (they still kind of freak me out. There is just so much meat on there. ugh.) and saw all of the sites. I think my favorite was a little street that apparently is the oldest street in the U.S. of A.
For our second trip we penciled in a Phillies game. In true Pennsylvania fashion it had been raining all day. It cleared up a little in the evening so they still played but there were two rain delays that we sat through. Luckily the seats we bought were covered by the deck above us so we stayed dry. At least Ryan Howard hit two home runs. Our hotel was really close to the stadium - it was like a three minute walk. So if you ever want to go to a Phillies or Eagles game stay at the Stadium Holiday Inn.
During the rain out they showed another MLB game. During the commercials they played these little cartoon things and I thought they were so funny. Too bad they did not hold their humor the 800th time around.

The next morning we quickly stopped at the U.S. Mint so Scott could take a tour. They don't allow cameras and Scott had stayed out with all of the cameras on our first trip. We then walked to an old flag store and bought a Join or Die flag and the Betsy Ross flag. They are now proudly hanging up in our spare room.
Scott and I have decided we really like Philadelphia. It is a bigger city but it doesn't feel too big. We also like how there is a clear distinction between neighborhoods that is hard to see in other cities.

Hooray for Philadelphia! We had a great time with you guys!
