It's That Time of Year Again

Hair + Humidity = No bueno.

Seriously. What do people use on their hair to keep it from going frizzy and wavy? I've tried shine serums, styling creams, and the list goes on. If it does not get better soon, I may have to shave my head. I don't think Scott will appreciate that.

Anyway, it's been a busy week. I was in St. Louis while Scott finished his second year of med school (Hallelujah!!!!!! Only two left!). St. Louis was good. My co-worker from the UK who I am working with is very chill and the people at the site are the nicest people I've ever met (and very patriotic. I'm talking Americana shirts and vinyl pictures on the rear windshield. AWE-SOME). We went downtown and walked around the Arch but it had closed for the day so we couldn't take the ride up. We may or may not have eaten at Ruth's Chris steakhouse; I'm not sure what company policy is on that one. Well, wherever I ate at was delicious. Luckily we missed all of the tornado weather but there were some pretty serious thunderstorms. The hotel also gave me the honeymoon suite, complete with a heart-shaped jacuzzi, as its demand is low during the week.

I am home for the weekend but will be flying back to St. Louis on Monday. On the agenda: Cardinals Game, Arch Ride, Steamboat Ride (?).

In other news, we're moving! After a year of badgering Scott he finally gave in...I mean, agreed to move. Our new apartment is about a mileish away from where we are currently living and is in a residential area (see: not right by the hospital helicopter pad and without upstairs neighbors who like to party and sing "Single Ladies" with their flamboyant male friends until the wee hours of the morning). Our official move in date is July 1. The landlords already seem awesome and were very flexible in accommodating when our current lease is up. I can't wait!

  1. Alterna Hemp Straightening Balm has worked for me but sometimes you can't beat that humid frizz on the east coast.
