Last weekend we took a road trip to South Bend for the Utah/Notre Dame football game.
The campus was really neat. We made sure to get there early so we would have plenty of time to walk around, look at the buildings, and sample the food. Notre Dame fans were so nice. Everywhere we went they welcomed us and wished us a good time. It was awesome to see the traditions they have - the fans line up as the players come out of Mass to cheer them on and they have a huge, cool band (as opposed to the U's small, lame band) that has actually been around longer than the football team. The main building:
The leprechaun. Don't let the picture fool you; he is little.
The Guard. They don't mess around.
The stadium.
I got to see Mal. Her boyfriend had just proposed to her!
After the game, we drove to Indianapolis. On Sunday we went to the Colts game. Their stadium is awesome.
Even though the Utes lost and it was cold and wet we had an excellent trip!

I hate to say it Scott, but I think you guys might be bad luck. Didn't you guys also make the trip to UNLV a couple of years ago when Utah lost 27-0? That game against ND was Utah's worst performance since that shutout @ UNLV.
ReplyDeleteI am, of course, just kidding. Glad you guys had a nice time!
I'm so glad that you had fun! We were worried when the Utes lost!
