A lot has happened since Match Day, but I figure before I write about all of it I should catch up on the stuff we did up to that.
We went home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. For some reason I don't have any pics of Thanksgiving, but I'm sure we had a great time. In December we went to dinner, Temple Square, and Hatch Family Chocolates with the Adams + extended family.
I volunteered to help make the name settings for Christmas dinner. Whit was awesome and drove me to the store to buy the stuff and helped me put them together!
On the Johnson side we draw names for gifts, rather than getting everyone something. Ben had me this year and included a dollar walrus that he folded himself complete with an ice pond. So awesome! I still have the walrus. I've been waiting for the right time to spend it. And yes, it will be spent in walrus form.
We got to skype with Keat in Brazil and talk to Brad in Wisconsin.
Scott and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary! He got me a band. I love it! How he gave it to me actually ended up being really funny. I'd been goading him that I didn't have a band but didn't think that he would actually end up getting one. We went to the Johnson's condo to go snowmobiling and I'd brought some delicious fudge that Nan gets every year. I walked into our room to get ready for bed and wasn't really paying attention to anything. Meanwhile in the kitchen, Melinda had some of the fudge and really liked it. Scott told her Nan gave it to us and she asked if it was homemade. He told her no and right after he said that I yelled "SHUT UP!" because I had just spotted a ring box on my pillow. Melinda didn't know that Scott had put the ring in there so she thought I was telling Scott to shut up because he said it wasn't homemade. Maybe you had to be there but it was really funny.
Snowmobiling was so much fun! I was a little nervous at first because I hadn't been on a snowmobile for years and I hadn't ridden anything since I'd flipped an ATV and it landed on me. After a few minutes though I was loving it. There were a few small incidents with the snowmobiles tipping over on drifts but nothing serious.
Here's also a random pic of Scott and Sammi. I think she's happy?
