It Pays to Live in Ogden

It's been almost a year and a half, and that's a year and a half too long. Yes, we are getting ready to move out of Ogden. But before we went, we had some unfinished business to take care of. First on the list: feel up the raunchy cowgirl mascot for Ogden's Pioneer Days.

Ahhh, that was nice. I know what you're thinking: Pioneer girls didn't wear buckskin mini-skirts. Well, they do in Ogden. And it explains a lot. Next up, we wanted to get a picture of Ogden's best source of self-affirmation -- a large neon sign over Washington Blvd. that reassures everyone that it does, in fact, pay to live in Ogden. It also tells you when Pioneer Days takes place and that it is the home of Weber State University. I think Murray should get a sign reminding everyone that it is the home of Murray High School. Pretty much the same thing.

I wish I could have gotten a picture of the plywood sign I saw on 13th St. the other day on my way to school advertising "Free Weed." It really does pay to live in Ogden.

  4. You are both from NORTH Ogden. Don't even pretend you know what it's like in the 'hood. You may as well be living in Bountiful.

  7. you're right, north ogden is no 'hood. but that doesn't mean we molly m's and peter p's didn't venture into the city for some thrills. you know, my brother was stabbed in the arm by a gang-banger in the old ogden mall's parking terrace.... it was a great place to grow up! ;)
