The End of Summer

It seems like this summer has gone by so fast. We have already been living in Pennsylvania for a month! I can't believe it. We finally busted out our little grill. Our favorite thing to grill is definitely the local sweet corn (It's literally from a few blocks away). I like to BBQ because then Scott ends up cooking dinner :)


I also celebrated my first birthday away from home. Everyone was so on the ball with sending presents- I really appreciate the effort. I was especially happy that my Aunt Stacie sent me my birthday cake so I could have MY cake (She always makes rainbow chip cake for me on most of my cousin's birthdays, even though it's not their favorite, because I love it and I eat at least half of the cake by myself). Scott had a test the day after my birthday so we celebrated it on the weekend by going to Red Robin and then shopping. Scott had a blast.



Other than that, life is going on as usual. Scott did great on his first test and is continuing to be a study Nazi for his next one. I am staying busy with work. I'm coming home for a day in September to go to Sham's reception (yay!) and I hope to sneak a trip to Cafe Rio in there. I also found out I will be making the first of many busy trips in October. I'm going to England for a week! I have to go every few months so my work decided they'd send me now instead of waiting until I'm used to my job (I think they think I know what I'm doing).

Off-topic note: I just saw the trailer for one of my favorite books- Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. It's pretty much the story of my life and I love the entire Shopaholic series. Whenever I read these books I feel like I am just listening to myself talk. It's a light, girly read but I completely relate to it. Isla Fisher is acting the main character, Becky Bloomwood, and I CANNOT WAIT to see the movie!
