Today has been a great day!
I returned home from the UK last night. Unfortunately they shifted the flight schedule so I didn't get home until 11! It wouldn't have been so bad but I had been up for almost 24 hours. This trip was a lot better than my last one. I still didn't really get to see anything. I did get a great view of the London Eye and Wembley Stadium (World Cup qualifying matches are going on right now) as we were landing but that's about it. The G20 madness was going on so traffic was a little crazy. Also, I found out that a display of Henry VIII's jousting and battle armor and other things were on display at London Tower. Of course it was the week I was there and, of course, I couldn't go. I really was tempted to make myself vomit in front of my boss so I wouldn't have to go to work and could take a cab to the exhibit.
Today was a great spring day, but a little too windy for my liking. I made Scott go with me to buy an Easter dress and he helped me pick out a great one (or two). Scott is really good at picking out clothes for me and he has more patience then I do. He always finds things that I wouldn't have looked around long enough for.
After the first session of conference we went over to the Ellsworth's. We walked down to the park and had sandwiches and the delicious chocolate (mint and orange kitkats) I brought back from England. We also had a little home run durby. They have a dog named Memphis and he does awesome things, like when you hit the ball he runs after it and brings it back to the pitcher. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Unfortunately, their daughter Annie was not a very happy camper so we went back to their house to watch the last session of conference.
AND...I bought tickets for Rascal Flatts today! I'm making Scott give them to me for my birthday. They are coming to Hershey Stadium on August 29th. I already can't wait!
Scott is very busy with school and Kiss Hershey Back. He's excited for it to be over soon. This next week is close so I'll be working way more than a human should have to.
That is all.
I am so glad it was better this time. I really wish you had more time to do things that are fun! I am excited you are going to Rascal Flatts. This year was the first year in 5 years I have not seen them. It was a weird day. However, I got Taylor Swift tickets! I feel like a little girl.
ReplyDeleteLucky duck! Easter dress(es). I'm sorry you didn't get to see a lot in England. I'm glad you arrived home safely though. You need to post some pictures of your flowerbabies so I can see my nieces and nephews. :)
ReplyDeleteDid I read correctly that Scott patiently shopped for clothes with you? Who are you married to, and what have you done with my son? By the way, I would also like to see pictures of my grandflowers.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that it was Scott who was shopping with you? Are you 100% sure that it was my brother Scott!?! I am really confused by the whole "patiently shopping" and "picking out cute dresses" and if that is even my brother!
