Rain, Rain, Go Away

I (and Scott, too, I think) am still getting used to the weather in PA. Seriously, it has been POURING for days. In Utah, it will pour for twenty minutes, not days. Ugh...I always liked the rain but now I am just sick of it. Also, I hate rainy days because I know if it's raining when I leave for work I am going to see a sick-looking matted squirrel digging in the dumpster for food. I am scared to death that he is going to attack me and give me rabies. I don't want to be the face of rabies.

We have had a really boring month, in case you couldn't tell by the lack of posts. Scott is done with school on May 15 and has been busy with Kiss Hershey Back and playing a variety of sports for the Hershey Med Center. I think he is excited to have the summer off from school. He still will have to do a research project this summer. His project deals with the brain - trying to see how soon they can tell a child has been abused by the way the fluid moves, I think. I have just been working and studying. It's no bueno.

We did have a fun Cinco de Mayo. We went to one of the few Mexican restaurants around here with our friends The Woods. El Rodeo has delicious burritos de carne asada! Then we came back to our apartment and I made fried ice cream. It was the first time I tried making it and luckily it turned out great. I am now looking to purchase a small fryer just so I can easily fry my ice cream.

  1. Nice! Fried ice cream! I hope it stops raining for you soon. I laughed so hard about the squirel scenerio! It was so funny to me. Thanks for the laugh.

  2. How do you fry ice cream? Won't it melt? These are the questions that ponder me daily. I am glad that you updated! Sorry about the rain! It is only fun if it is sprinkling and if it is short. Good luck!
