I Love Books

I love reading and have loved it ever since I can remember. Unfortunately, I haven't read a lot in the past year and half with starting my first real job and then taking the CPA exams*. A blog I like to read is starting a book club and I thought I would join. The blog owner posted this quote that I love. I think it perfectly descibes my affinity for reading.

"Some things don't last forever, but some things do.
Like a good song, or a good book,
or a good memory you can take out
and unfold in your darkest times,
pressing down on the corners and peering in close,
hoping you still recognize the person you see there."
-Sarah Desson

Sometimes I feel like I get into a rut with books - like I always read the same type of books by the same type of author. Hopefully this will help me branch out in my reading so I can find books I probably wouldn't have read otherwise. If you would like to participate, here is the link - Being Brazen Books.

*For those of you that are wondering, I am still waiting to find out the score for my last test. It should be here any day now.

  5. I'm not good at book clubs. I never finish the book I've been "assigned". I think that I can't finish them out of the principle of the thing like in high school when you were forced to read something and then write an essay on it. I've actually re-read some books from high school and found that I actually like them. The Pigman is not one of those though.

  6. Random read:
I love to read also. Unfortunately, with teo children under the age of 2...I have little time for it. I want a Nook...That way they can't tear the books up. I don't like book clubs because I want to read randomly.
