One Year Older

I knew I was going to have a great day when I left for work and found this on my front door:

Our awesome (and funny) friends decorated the door. My favorite parts are the lemon drops and Monchichis. Here's a close up:

When I got to work, my friends had decorated my cube and and made me cupcakes.

They also took me to my favorite restaurant for lunch - Dockside Willies (I am constantly craving their bbq pork sandwiches and fries. I can't even eat bbq pork anywhere else now). We also stopped at The Meadows, our favorite custard place. I LOVE their orange cream gelati.

After work, I drove down to York to meet Scott for dinner (Scott is doing an away rotation in York, so he lives there during the week and comes home on weekends). We ate at a delicious Italian restuarant recommended by one of my coworkers. I had my favorite dish, gnocchi, and Scott enjoyed the pesto. I ordered orange sorbetto that was served in a frozen orange. It was pretty cool.

I also received a ton of awesome gifts from my family and friends. Thanks everyone for making my birthday great!

  3. agh! what are those Monchichis? They look a little freaky. Maybe there is a story behind them? Thanks for letting Scott come out this weekend. We really missed having you here! Thank you so much for all the adorable clothes and the toys for E. He now requires them to sleep with him. :)

  4. Ha! There is a story. I don't know what brought it up, but our friend was talking about Monchichis and how she had a few growing up. Scott and I thought they sounded a little creepy, so it was very funny when they showed up for my birthday.
