Baltimore

Scott is on his Family Medicine rotation in Lancaster, so we only see each other on the weekends. Last weekend we decided to take a little trip down to Baltimore. We fly out of the Baltimore airport all the time, but we hadn't been to the city.

We went to Inner Harbor and ate at Noodles & Co. Oh, how I've missed it. We went to the National Aquarium.

We saw lots of things mating - seahorses, frogs. Well, maybe that's not a lot but it was too much.

I don't know what kind of shark this is - it looks like a cross between a shark and swordfish (with a meaner-looking sword).

I really liked the Jelly Fish exhibit.

For some reason we decided to go to the Dolphin show. I think it's because I have a memory of the Shamu show in Sea World that I went to when I was 5. I remember that it was fun; this dolphin show was not. We even sat on the front row of the splash zone and did not get splashed. Lame. The only thing that makes it worse is we'll have to sit through it again someday when we have ninos.

Poor Scott. Always the victim of the sleeping photo.

We also went to the 27th floor of the World Trade Center.

There are a lot of boats docked - like this one. See how cool it is?

Naturally, Scott and I had to take a few pictures of the hawbuh. We like being so close to the coast so we can say hawbuh often (see this post).

After walking around the hawbuh, we nourished ourselves at Chipotle. Then we took a rest and watched a street performer. He was crazy; he juggled a bowling ball, sword, and torch while standing on a few skateboards & cups. Insane.
Scott made me go shopping. Seriously. He did. He said, "It's good to have a controlled release every once in a while." I'm writing that down so I'll remember to use it next time he tries to control my release a little too tightly. I got a lot of cute clothes, but my favorite is a shirt from Forever 21 that has a design made of pearls. Love it!

Then we headed to the Oriole's game. Since the team isn't that great we were able to buy really cheap seats on the 4th row. I actually had fun - it didn't rain, unlike the previous two MLB games I've been to, and the crowd was awesome. They were more into who won the mascot race, the ketchup or the relish, and which Maryland crab was hiding the baseball at the end of the scramble. Also, the game only lasted 2 hours (hallelujah).

This is the "O-man" or something like that. He is spelling Orioles. It's quite hard to do the first time; you have to remember how to spell O-R-I-O-L-E-S, which isn't a word I spell that often, while thinking how to mold your body into the letters. Seriously. Try it. See, it's not that easy, is it?

  4. Controlled release...I like that term. E was asking about Uncle Scott and wanted to play trains with him. We'll be so glad to see you guys! I'm sure E's love for Ashley will be rekindled upon first sight.

  5. You missed out on riding the paddle boats in the hawbah. We ended up with the one that had the hole in it and almost sank it. Bwahaha.
