hello there. we have had quite the crazy past two months.
we drove to ohio to celebrate thanksgiving with the christensens. i'm pretty sure melinda made the best thanksgiving dinner ever - turkey, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, to die for candied yams, green been casserole, apple pie, and banana cream pie. i forgot to take pictures so i stole some from nin's blog.

we also ate at city bbq & had ice cream at jenny's. both were delish. ben and scott went to the ohio state v. michigan game and had a good time.

we flew to salt lake the next weekend for my aunt laurie's wedding. we were so happy we were able to go! the ceremony was lovely and after there was a luncheon at the joseph smith memorial building.

that weekend was also scott's parents' birthday. we went in on gifts with ben and melinda. we gave mark a ute chair and sheila a fascinating book (At Home - read it.)
two weeks later we flew back to salt lake for christmas. we had a great time seeing friends and family and not working/studying. once again, i forgot to take pictures. scott went to the utah game with his dad and brother, i went to temple square and hatch family chocolates with my family - they have the best hot chocolate! it is very rich but quite delightful. we saw a few movies, ate good food, and relaxed.

december was such a great month; it was hard to get back to reality. scott is currently on his surgery rotation so he is working a ton and i am super busy at work. i'm pretty sure we both have been working close to 100 hours a week. we've seen each other only on sundays and end most of our phone calls with "well, maybe i'll see you tomorrow." i can't wait until fourth year when scott has a little more free time. this may be the last year we are living on the east coast and there are lots of things i want to see in 2011 (boston, maine, disneyworld, north carolina). Any suggestions?

ReplyDeleteI want to see all those places too! We should just vacation all of next year. But seriously, we should plan something together if Scott and Ben's time off ever coincides. I want to go to Myrtle Beach!
