Towards the end of summer we went camping at Ricketts Glen, a state park in the Poconos that has over 20 waterfalls. There were thunderstorms Friday night, so we played it safe and went up Saturday morning and came home Sunday. It was the perfect length of a camping trip, if you ask me.
The hike to see the waterfalls is about 7 miles. I was a little nervous to do it because I don't hike that often and especially not over a few miles, but it wasn't too bad and it was pretty cool to hike up and down the waterfalls.
On the way home we stopped at another state park that has a huge open area filled with boulders. Very interesting.

Our tent has a little door in the back. We aren't quite sure what it's for; is it a doggy door, emergency escape? Scott was able to maneuver himself in it, but if we were being attacked by a bear or something there's no way you could get in and out fast enough.

Your trip looks so fun! That is such a Scott thing to do to see if you can worm your way through that little door :) Mom/Sheila
